At home, Nintendo Switch connects to your TV via the Nintendo Switch dock, allowing you to share games with friends and family in the comfort of your living room. When you remove Nintendo Switch from the dock, the console instantly enters portable mode, allowing you to take the same gaming experience with you wherever you go, thanks to its bright high-definition screen, whether you're at the park, on the train, in the car, or at a friend's house.

To start playing, simply detach the detachable Joy-Con controllers from either side of Nintendo Switch. Single-player games can be played with one controller in each hand, while two-player games can be played with one controller each. Multiple Joy-Con controllers can also be used for larger groups. The controllers can be easily reattached to the console or to the Joy-Con grip, which feels just like a traditional controller. It will also be possible to play with the optional Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in place of the Joy-Con controllers. Additionally, groups of friends can bring their consoles with them for local multiplayer sessions.

If you subscribe to the Nintendo Switch online service*, you can play with friends far away and people around the world. Users can also download a dedicated app for smart devices that allows them to meet up in online lobbies, arrange play dates, and use voice chat while playing.
