It's been four years since humanity was nearly annihilated.
The truth of the event is still clouded by half-truths as you emerge from a safehouse
to attempt to reestablish some semblance of society in a world that seems
determined to eliminate you and the last remnants of humanity.

You are tasked with scouring the surrounding lands for materials, intel,
other survivors, and key resources in order to establish a base of operations
for your fledgling group.

But you are not alone.

The machines of Skynet are hunting you. They prove nothing.

  Explore the open world to discover key materials and survivors you need to advance your base, but never forget: The fearsome and deadly T-101 is out there, hunting you and posing a constant threat.
• Rise from the Ashes
  Help humanity in a central hub that you'll use to establish a new foothold for humanity and stand against the machine threat alone or in co-op with up to three friends.
• Think Before You Shoot
  Even though you are armed, caution is required to survive. A direct approach against robots and scavengers could be lethal.
