• VAST EMPIRES
  Watch the wonders of your empire spread out across the map. Each city occupies multiple tiles and you can customize its development to make the most of the features of the land.
• ACTIVE RESEARCH
  Unlock upgrades to accelerate your civilization’s progress through history. To progress faster, use your units to explore, develop the land, and discover new cultures.
• DYNAMIC DIPLOMACY
  Interactions with other civilizations evolve throughout the game, from primitive early relationships, when war is an integral part of life, to complex alliances and negotiations towards the end of the game.
• COMBINED ARMS
  Refining the concept of limiting armies to one unit per tile, support units can now be combined with other units, such as anti-tank support with infantry, or a warrior with a group of settlers. It is also possible to combine similar troops to form powerful military 'corps'.
• NEW MULTIPLAYER MODES
  In addition to traditional multiplayer modes, you can cooperate or compete with your friends in a wide variety of challenges designed to be easily completed in a single game session.
