Take command of the Orange Star Army in strategic turn-based battles on land, at sea, and in the air. Defeat enemy formations and capture bases and cities to secure victory and maintain the peace. Remember to keep an eye on the weather and terrain as you lead a variety of units across a variety of maps. This remake includes two campaigns spanning the events of Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising!

• Fight alongside brave commanding officers
  Defend your homeland with the help of Andy, Max, Sami and other commanding officers, each with their own unique UC virtues and specialties. Andy can repair units, while Sami can enhance the abilities of your troops. But remember, your opponents will also have their own UC virtues! Throughout both campaigns, the commanding officers you meet will play a vital role, on the battlefield and in the story.
• Recruit friends and see who the best strategist is
  When you want to take a break from the game's two campaigns, you can test your skills in Challenge mode, where up to four players can compete across dozens of maps. Each player chooses a commanding officer from those who appear in the campaigns, and can use their UC virtues to turn the tide of a battle. You can also customize combat with options such as funding for each friendly base or limited view.
